Title: Postdoctoral Research Position in Radio Astronomy

Position Description: The Harvard College Observatory/Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in radio astronomy with Prof. Liam Connor, with a focus on Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs), wide-field radio survey development, and fast time-domain pipelines.
Those with previous experience in FRBs, interferometry, radio instrumentation, or pipeline development are strongly encouraged to apply. While direct hardware expertise is considered an asset, it is not required; the exact project(s) will be tailored to the successful applicant's strengths and interests. The candidate will have the opportunity to lead key projects in wide-field next-generation radio surveys including a radio all-sky monitor and the Deep Synoptic Arrays.
The position is for two years, renewable for a third year upon mutual agreement. The nominal starting date will be September 1, 2025, but an earlier or later start is negotiable.

Basic Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in astronomy, physics, or equivalent by the date of appointment.
Additional Qualifications: Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, list of publications, and a statement explaining research interests and qualifications, and arrange for three letters of recommendation.
Special Instructions: Letters of recommendation should be submitted by three "referees" and must be received by the application deadline of December 10, 2024.
