Bestica is seeking a EMT – Paramedic to provide service in support of Kirtland Airforce Base in Albuquerque, NM.

Objective: Paramedics will use basic life support skills to identify, care, communicate, and document injuries, method of treatment, rehabilitation, and medical releases. This individual possesses the complex knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and ensure proper coordination of EMS transportation (if required). Paramedics function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight.

Hours of Performance: The performance hours vary based on course requirements, training objectives, mission requirements and weather. Occasionally, training is conducted during night hours. Employees will not exceed monthly hours, nor will they exceed twelve (12) consecutive hours, including a 1- hour lunch break. The level of effort for all positions is based on a 40-hour work week. Employees shall be prepared to flex their work hours to accommodate changes in the training schedule due to weather, facility availability, logistical contingencies, mission requirements, etc.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from an accredited NREMT program.
• Possess and maintain certification as an NREMT, NRAEMT, NRP from the National
• Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or applicable state EMT certification.
• Three (3) years of experience as an EMT-Paramedic within the last five (5) years.
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS
