Administrative Project Manager



The Department of Medicine Chair’s Office is hiring an Administrative Project Manager to support People First. People First is an initiative developed in the Departments of Medicine, Dermatology, and Family Medicine to ensure a work environment that puts people first in all things. When this individual joins the team, they will provide support to People First leadership, assist with communications and event planning, and organize/support the collective project efforts of the team members of People First. The ideal candidate will be an individual with great organizational skills, a go-getter attitude, passionate about implementing people first solutions, and looking for a position to enable growth in their career.


Job Summary

Oversees all aspects of planning, design, and execution of assigned small, routine projects and coordinates with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Assists in timeline development, ensures adherence to timeframes, and adjusts project deliverables to avoid issues. Performs budgetary functions and administrative tasks. Assists with external consultant and vendor selection, negotiation, and management.


Essential Functions
  • Provides support for People First projects, initiatives, events, and communications
  • Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish mission objectives
  • Evaluates and monitors projects; advises People First members
  • Creates and disseminates program communications in collaboration with the Communications team; prepares routine reports, program resources, presentations, and publicity materials
  • Assists in the development of program evaluation tools and methods; recommends modifications to improve program effectiveness
  • Assists in monitoring the People First website to ensure current and relevant information

Physical Effort

Little physical effort required, duties are mostly sedentary. May have to lift up to 25 lbs.
