The Department of Computer Science at the University of Houston (www.cs.uh.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Candidates working on theoretical or practical aspect of research related to Affective Computing and Human-Centered AI are encouraged to apply.
The department is seeking exceptional candidates with the potential for exceptional research, excellence in teaching, and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students. Candidates must demonstrate an outstanding scholarly record of research, exhibited by high-impact peer-reviewed publications and a forward-looking, vigorous research agenda that will secure competitive, external funding as Principal Investigator (PI). The anticipated start date for this position is September 1, 2025. Applicants must possess an earned doctorate in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a closely related scientific field before Sept 1, 2025.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. Applicants must complete their degree before the start date of the appointment.
