Job Description:
Duration: 5 month project
Location: Fully remote, prefers CST or EST
Part-time, 20-25 hours per week
Pay: $40/hr
ObjectiveTo create comprehensive, clear, and user-friendly documentation program
ResponsibilitiesContent Management
- Organize and manage documentation repositories.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and version controlled.
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and client-facing teams to gather information and update documents as needed.
Collaboration
- Work closely with product owners, developers, client-facing SMEs, and other stakeholders to understand documentation requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on documentation progress.
- Coordinate with graphic designers to include visuals and diagrams in documentation.
Documentation Development
- Create internal and external user manuals, guides, and online help documentation.
- Develop API documentation, technical specifications, and system manuals.
- Write and maintain FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Release Notes creation for external users.
- Create mass communications to current clients.
Quality Assurance
- Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Conduct usability testing to ensure documentation meets user needs.
- Implement feedback from users and stakeholders to improve documentation quality.
Tools and Technologies
- Utilize documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Visio, etc.
- Maintain proficiency in relevant software and technologies used by the team.
Deliverables
- End to end documentation process meeting industry standard best practice(s) (Within 10 business days)
- Enterprise templates for business process documents (BPD), standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions (Within 15 business days)
- Enterprise Documentation Business Process Document (BPD) (Within 20 business days)
- Technical and training documentation for identified products (As needed after 20 business days)
Reporting- Provide weekly status reports to Director of Program Management
- Highlight any risks or issues that may impact documentation delivery
