Position SummaryCoa Solutions is committed to transforming government services for the betterment of the customers and taxpayers we serve. We sit at the intersection of delivering human centered, and accessible and inclusive solutions across critical government services. As a Designer/Researcher at COA, youll work on a cross functional product and engineering team solving some of the toughest problems in government. Youll be working as a generalist bringing products that millions will use from discovery, design, and delivery of the product.In this project, you will be helping taxpayers provide direct access to the United Residency Certification form for the first time. Applications without an online and/or shareable portfolio will not be considered.What you'll doLead discovery with other designers on the team mapping complex systems and workflows into blueprints and artifacts that inspire clarity and alignment Bring a customer and user focus approach to product development by driving understanding of users, key tasks, and helping and prioritizing impactful features Transform user insights into concepts, mid to high fidelity prototypes, and final design delivery with engineering. Work with product to define measures of success in an iterative design and product development cycleRequired skillsAt least 3-5 years experience in end to end product design including baseline user and concept testing. Prior experience working and amending design systems to build compelling and intuitive interfaces that solve user problemsExperience in creating maps of complex services, ecosystems, and how they interact Experience working closely with cross functional design, product, and engineering teams and communicating user needs and design decisions across them Experience designing with web and responsive user interface best practicesDetail oriented and reliable supported by a curious mindset that drives user knowledge and product clarityHighly collaborative with a strategic mindset that helps build meaningful, collaboration across stakeholders and assess tradeoffs against short and long term needs Preferred skillsPrior experience working in modernizing federal services Experience in implementing digital accessibility standards and internationalization Compensation range: $135,000 -$ 150,000Other requirementsLived in the United States for at least three (3) of the past five (5) years.Citizenship or Active Green CardApplicants selected for this position may have to go through a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements to work and access classified informationCOA Benefits:We value balance and flexibility.
