Job Description Summary

Leads, plans and oversees performance measurement, forecasting/modeling and allowance measurement processes, as follows:


  • Financial Planning & Analysis:  Tasks related to financial reporting, detailed financial analysis, integration of plan and forecast and to support businesses and business leadership in achieving financial goals. Manages project financials, cost allocations (both actual and for management reporting) and investor relations. 

  • Business Line Profitability – to include Segmentation, incorporation of FTP results and full Business Line forecasting.

  • Quantitative/Modeling: Development, maintenance and enhancement of quantitative/analytic models and applications, direct and actively participate in all stages of model development from data collection, model building, model validation, testing, calibration, and documentation. Lead the development of next generation models, including Automatic Risk Rating models, Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL), Capital Stress Testing, and other ad-hoc models as well as data analytics supporting various functions within the bank. This includes ensuring the completeness and accuracy of data utilized in the model development and implementation process.

  • Allowance for Credit Losses: Maintains the measurement of the allowance for credit losses for all in-scope assets determined to be material and at all relevant companies within the Company (i.e., the bank charters). Such process includes analyzing output of modeled results for reasonableness, considering the impact of reasonable and supportable forecasts, trends in the Company’s loan portfolios and prior loss history to estimate expected credit losses over the life of the relevant asset.

What You’ll Do


  • Analyze and present financial results to all stakeholders, both internal (i.e., internal management reporting) and external (i.e., earnings release).

  • Analyze results of the quarterly allowance for credit losses measurement process for reasonableness and accuracy.  Assist in discussion/explanation of results and key drivers of those results.

  • Analyze results of various modeling processes, including allowance for credit losses, stress testing, risk rating scorecard and other models.

  • Help drive the strategy and approach surrounding reporting, both currently and considering future needs of all stakeholders

Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience


  • 10+ Years experience Banking/Finance

  • Experience working with multiple department budgets, analysis of actual financial results from period to period, and the annual budget (and forecast) process.
