Ideal Candidate Requirements:


  • 5+ years as a maintenance mechanic, including 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Expertise in Electrical Troubleshooting, PLCs, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics.

  • Proficient in reading schematics, using a voltmeter, and understanding PLCs and ladder logic.

  • Experience managing CMMS systems and maintenance programs.

  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.

  • Basic welding skills.

  • Available to troubleshoot over the phone and handle emergencies during off hours, including some weekends.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred; robotics experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the maintenance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations in collaboration with Plant Manager.

  • Set performance standards and conduct regular reviews.

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.

  • Coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.

  • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget.

  • Control maintenance costs and optimize resource allocation.

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and systems.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues promptly.

  • Implement solutions to prevent recurring problems.

  • Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.

  • Manage spare parts and maintenance supplies inventory.

  • Ensure availability of necessary parts to reduce downtime.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

  • Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and downtime.

  • Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments.

  • Communicate effectively with vendors and contractors for external services.

  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and efficiency.

  • Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance operations.
