Description:
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and support a large ERP implementation project. The scope includes:

• Implementing the Unanet ERP system with significant integration needs and business intelligence dashboarding.


• Managing smaller sub-projects identified during fit-gap analysis or design phases.


• Coordinating with stakeholders across our company to ensure business requirements are met, holding team members accountable for timely deliverables to keep the project on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Project Management: Develop and update detailed project charters, scopes, management plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules. Coordinate with IS managers, technical leads, and key stakeholders.


• 
  Risk Management: Identify project risks, create mitigation plans, and assess potential impacts.


• 
  Communications: Prepare and deliver status reports to sponsors and project teams. Communicate with end users and stakeholders, generate meeting notes, and follow up on action items.


• 
  Relationship Management: Maintain productive relationships with business owners and key clients. Ensure end-user testing is conducted and documented. Conduct formal reviews with business sponsors at project completion.


• 
  Project Monitoring: Monitor projects, identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and escalate issues related to scope, budget, quality, and timelines. Formulate recovery plans or assess impacts if not recoverable.


• 
  Budget Management: Determine project budgets and continuously monitor actual costs versus budget. Conduct root cause analysis for budget discrepancies.

Human Resource Management

• Assist in determining staffing requirements and forming project teams.


• Identify roles, skills, and knowledge required for successful project execution.


• Ensure staff has the necessary resources and skills to support work initiatives.

Standards and Continuous Improvement

• Utilize and develop established project standards and procedures, including templates, processes, workflows, and tools based on Project Management Institute practices.


• Contribute to the development of new quality metrics.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.


• Minimum of 7+ years of IT/MIS project management experience.


• Project management certification or completion of a recognized project management curriculum is desired.


• Experience managing large IT projects across multiple technical disciplines.


• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.


• Thorough understanding of ERP systems and related terminology.


• Direct experience managing large-scale ERP projects, particularly in financial or procurement systems.


• Experience working with government contractors is highly desirable.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Teams.


• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and meet strict deadlines.


• Strong communication skills are essential.
