Location: Jackson, MI

Salary: $29.00 USD Hourly - $30.00 USD Hourly

Description: GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Environmental Services, supervises the operational and personnel activities of the Environmental Services Department.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures compliance with standards established by accrediting and regulatory agencies.


2. Assists the Director to plan the budget for the Environmental Services Department.


3. Coordinates communication between subordinates of the department.
4. Maintain excellence in patient/guest service satisfaction scores
5. Implementation of policies and procedures as they pertain to the department.


6. Develops short and long term goals and objectives for the department.
7. Performs routine inspections to ensure working conditions conform to accrediting and regulatory agencies.


8. In absence of the Director, makes decisions to maintain operational efficiencies.


9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director-Environmental Services. Supervision Exercised: Administrative and functional supervision is exercised over designated professional, secretarial, and support service employees. Personal Interaction: Contacts are made with administrative staff to review department activities. Contacts are made with employees to discuss special requests and needs of the individual.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.


Approximately, five (5) years of related management experience (budgets, operations and regulatory) required in health care.


Environmental services experience, preferred.
