The Learning Technology Manager will be responsible forstrategizing, overseeing and managing McKesson's Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Experience Platform (LXP). This role will serve as the organization's expert for these (and potentially future) platforms/tools, setting the strategic vision for their implementation and usage. The Learning Technology Manager will partner with McKesson Technology to ensure regular updates and maintenance of the platforms, while also focusing on maintaining the quality of the data within them.


The Learning Technology Manager will be responsible for shaping business strategies and driving impact of McKesson's Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Experience Platform (LXP).


The Learning Technology Manager will work closely with other members of the Enterprise Learning and Talent Strategy teams to curate learning content, or enable social learning that aligns with the identified critical skills for McKesson. This will involve collaborating with business units and corporate functions to understand their specific needs and developing strategies to meet those needs effectively. The Learning Technology Manager will also serve as the lead for other small to medium learning technology projects as they arise, including but not limited to reporting, measurement, and BU/Corporate Function learning technology needs.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Serve as the primary expert for the Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Experience Platform (LXP) at McKesson.






  • Set the strategic vision for the implementation and usage of both platforms, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.


  • Oversee the complete project life cycle of digital learning strategy, including managing scope, expenditures, risks and resources






  • Drives the strategic roadmap for the LMS and LXP in partnership with McKesson Technology (e.g.identifying and prioritizing new features & enhancements and partnering with McKesson Technology to get them implemented)






  • Drives adoption and impact of tools: develops/manages job-aids, content organization, builds learning paths for skills, works with business leaders/HRBPs to drive upskilling, connects content to other programming (e.g. onboarding, early career programs, etc.)






  • Establishes and manages governance processes for content quality, maintaining content in the system, UX and UI design, etc; supports business unit learning teams with training and administration support






  • Co-manages the LMS/LXP vendor relationshipwith McKesson Technology; Prioritize LMS and LXP enhancements. Ensure maintenance and updates of the LMS and LXP occur regularly, ensuring they are functioning optimally and in line with industry best practices; Partner with HR Shared Services and McKesson Technology to ensure alignment with other HR and McKesson tech.






  • Monitor the quality of data within the platforms, conducting regular audits and taking corrective actions as needed.






  • Work closely with business units and corporate functions to understand their specific learning needs and align the platforms accordingly.






  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest enhancements to both platforms, taking into account the changing needs of the organization.






  • Collaborate with Enterprise Learning and Talent Strategy teams to curate learning content that addresses the identified critical skills for McKesson.






  • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of learning technology, making recommendations for adoption as appropriate.






  • Provide training and support to users of the LMS and LXP, ensuring they are equipped to utilize the platforms effectively.





Qualifications:





  • 7+ years of learning and development experience + degree or equivalent.






  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Instructional Technology, Learning Design, etc.).






  • Extensive, proven experience managing and administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP).






  • Extensive experience using learning development technology such as audio and video editing tools, authoring platforms






  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.






  • High ability to stakeholdercollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.






  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.






  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.






  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.






  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory and cutting edge learning trends





Key Relationships:





  • Collaborates with McKesson Technology and HR Shared Services to ensure correct alignment with other HR technology tools.






  • Partners with Talent Strategy COE to connect learning solutions to identified"build" actions for business units and corporate functions.

Our Base Pay Range for this position



$84,000 - $140,000
