Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Electromechanical Engineer in Franklin, TN.

Job Description: Lead design engineering efforts of Low Voltage Equipment including structure, bus system, mechanisms, and integration of electrical, digital and communication devices and their interfacing during the development of electro-mechanical systems. Act as internal expert in cross functional teams to define requirements, analyze feasibility, and propose solutions that meet customer needs. Conduct system analysis to resolve tradeoffs and drives integration of system engineering tools and processes across platforms to optimize performance. Manage resolution of system compatibility and performance issues. Ensure the product design meets all required specification using appropriate analysis. Demonstrate best-in-class engineering techniques, manufacturing processes and material properties. Document appropriate design analysis and corresponding test plans. Create and approve an appropriate number of design concept models. Coordinate with the program manager and cross functional teams on the design, safety and peer reviews on the project. Keep engineering team focused on their portion of assigned projects for objectives and scheduled completion dates. Define deliverables and review deliverable status, as needed, with the project team. Position eligible for up to 3 days remote work per week.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in LV power distribution product design development engineering or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Creating FMEA's, DFA's, DFM's, and Risk Analysis; 3D Parametric CAD packages- Inventor, Pro/Engineer, Creo; Developing new products in Agile and gated product development processes and product life cycle; Designing products accounting for manufacturing processes, material properties, and the design of plastic moldings, mechanism design, sheet steel parts, dielectric, and conductive components design; Complying with industrial standards including ANSI, UL, and NEMA; and Conducting physical testing of equipment using ANSI, UL, and NEMA standards and analyzing test results to meet project requirements.
