Kforce's client is looking for a Regulatory Strategist in Oakland, CA. This role plays a crucial role in supporting reduction efforts, and Mitigation Plan to meet regulatory goals.
Duties/Day to Day Overview:
Regulatory Strategist will lead the development of the annual Mitigation Plan in the area of distribution/transmission and engineering
Analyzing past year's regulatory requirements, proposed decisions, or other regulatory filing to provide insight into implications and identify opportunities for improvement
Make recommendations of possible course of action related to comments and/or proposed decisions as a whole
Coordinating with stakeholders on strategic mitigation activities
Develop strong and close working relationships with all strategic programs
As a Regulatory Strategist, you will conduct feedback sessions with VPs and RDs for major functional areas for input and feedback
Coordinate with internal partners to meet requirements on assigned programs through written testimony, supporting documentation, and/or development of strategic programs/activities
Anticipate, understand the regulatory impact to work product and proactively raise and address issues with stakeholders
Lead peers and partner organizations to develop and implement new and/or improved procedures, processes, controls, and best practices to track and monitor
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree
8+ years of relevant experience
Experience supporting regulatory-related projects
Domain expertise around electric transmission, transmission engineering, transmission lines, distribution lines, grid engineering, etc.
Highly exceptional writing skills, experienced with analyzing complex and technical content and translating into easily digestible content and compelling storytelling for wider audiences
Demonstrated experience in taking ownership over projects with successful results
Strong with Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build trusting relationships to align multiple stakeholders around strategic priorities
Strong presentation skills to effectively convey complex issues to internal and external parties of various levels
Ability to influence leaders inside and outside of the department through data analysis, insights and recommendations
Strong analytical and creative problem solving, strategic decision-making ability
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
