WAXIE's drivers are the “promise keepers” of the organization and make sure that our product gets delivered safely, securely, and on time. Our fleet of route drivers operate on a Monday through Friday schedule and drive well-maintained, professional vehicles to deliver products that keep our customers’ facilities cleaner, healthier and safer. What’s better than that?

Hours for this role are typically 6 am to 3 PM with potential for overtime as needed.

Pay Range $22.00 to $26.00 Per Hour depending on experience



Responsibilities

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip truck inspections (DVIR’s) including but not limited to: Oil, fuel, tires, coolant, safety equipment, lights, and cleanliness of cab.

    Become familiar with various chemical, paper, and cleaning products.

    Review daily assigned routes, delivery stops, and instructions for customer requests.

    Download assigned routes utilizing routing software. Notate customer deliveries and stops within routing software.

    Load appropriate material handling equipment (MHE) into vehicle.

    Complete scheduled deliveries daily: Approximately 15-20 deliveries depending on route.

    Unload multiple pallets of product from vehicle. Ensure proper order count is being delivered per the packing slip.

    Store products within designated areas of customer facilities.

    Obtain customer signature upon completion of delivery.

    Report and/or process customer returns, overages, shortages to appropriate warehouse management.

    Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications



  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    High School diploma or equivalent.

    0-1 years of driving in Class C capacity (entry level).

    2+ years of driving in Class C capacity (experienced).
    REQUIREMENTS

    Ability to operate hand truck/dolly.

    Ability to complete multiple deliveries daily.

    Ability to complete daily Driver logs per Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

    Valid driver’s license, with a safe driving record per MVR.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Ability to lift up to 75lbs.

    Push/pull up to 50lbs.

    Sitting up to 60% of the shift.

    Standing/Walking approximately 35% of the shift.

    Repetitive bending approximately 80% of the shift.

    Occasionally climbing stairs.
    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Exposure to both outside and inside conditions including excessive heat/cold during seasonal weather.

    Heavy physical lifting, pushing/pulling, standing, walking throughout the shift.
