Overview

The Executive Specialist provides confidential administrative support and performs or coordinates general administrative work for the Division Head. The position will provide a range of functions within the Division's Administration office, including executive level support, acting as a communications liaison for the Division Head by maintaining both internal and external communications, and assists with the development of both informal and formal communication updates to division members, and to those in the communities being served by OHSU and the division.

The Executive Specialist will also help coordinate efforts with Division Head's research team to coordinate research meetings, update CV and Biosketch, along with other administrative related tasks.



Responsibilities

  • 4 years of secretarial or executive assistant experience OR 3 years of relevant experience with an Associate's degree OR 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience and working knowledge of administrative an technical responsibilities
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Suite
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Strong organizational skills iwth proven strategic planning techniques and ability to work efficiently


Qualifications



  • Experience in an academic medical or medical research office setting
  • Experience managing/coordinating with a Continuing Medical Education (CME) or similar program
  • Leadership/management training preferred
