Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Summary:

In this role you will perform assembly and repair work on low, medium and high-power amplifiers or other products following instructions, parts lists and/or pictures and sketches and wire lists and using a variety of hand tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble complex amplifiers following work instructions, assembly drawings, schematics, and detailed instructions from Engineering/Work Order packets.
  • Assemble amplifiers into enclosure and complete all component electrical connections accurately.

  • Assemble, repair and wire high power units adapting and modifying cabinets and supporting structures to produce a high-quality product.
  • Assemble, repair and wire low and medium power amplifiers to meet quality standards and time schedules.
  • Provide assembly instructions to Assembler B and C employees and others, as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Document suggested improvements using Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and submit to supervisor.
  • Visually inspect assemblies before moving units to inspection, stock or test.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to use hand tools including soldering iron and simple power tools.
• Must demonstrate a basic understanding of electrical components and circuitry, and ability to follow assembly instructions.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (with assistance)

• ERP experience a plus

Compensation

Salary Minimum: $50,000

Salary Maximum: $70,000

Incentive: No
