WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Manager, Talent Acquisition

The Manager, Talent Acquisition develops the roadmap to drive a proactive and competitive talent acquisition strategy supporting the company's business objectives. Responsible for effectively leading the talent acquisition team, for team KPIs, for partnering with hiring managers and stakeholders, and for securing qualified top talent in a timely manner. Expected to drive effective talent strategies including internal and external branding, outreach, communication, sourcing, recruitment lifecycle, and related training. This role will drive creative solutions to enhance the Vetsource brand that both internal and external candidates experience, and will drive talent best practices, all with a DEI lens and in support of our HR goals and initiatives.

Participate as both a player and coach, being responsible for requisitions as needed, with an eye towards being able to be flexible and scale in times of growth.

This is a full-time, remote position.

WHAT YOU’LL DO


  • Develop the company’s short term and long term key strategic priorities for talent acquisition in coordination with the CFO, VP of HR, DEI, and HR Leadership. 


  • Serve as a strategic thought partner and coach, driving effective solutions that attract top talent while enhancing the candidate experience and reinforcing organizational culture. 


  • Integrate practices that comply with relevant employment laws and company policy. Provide expert guidance on recruitment best practices, sourcing methods, and candidate evaluation processes.


  • Manage actions to support HR goals and KPIs by leveraging analytics and metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.


  • Actively lead the Workforce Planning process, managing requisition requests and the review/ approval process; support leaders in this process as needed. 


  • Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, ensuring accurate requisition management, effective sourcing strategies, thorough candidate qualification, comprehensive interviewing, timely offer extension, and successful role fulfillment.


  • Actively support the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion related initiatives, integrating these values into the talent acquisition process.


WHAT YOU BRING


  • 8+ years of progressively responsible HR experience with an emphasis on Talent Acquisition


  • At least 3 years experience in HR Leadership or Senior Talent Acquisition role in a global, matrixed organization focusing on Talent Acquisition initiatives


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; equivalent combination of work experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree


  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate talent needs, identify emerging trends, and adapt recruitment strategies accordingly


  • Proven track record of successfully filling key roles across various levels and functions.


  • Advanced knowledge of recruitment best practices, including sourcing, assessment, interview strategies, branding techniques, and strategic talent planning


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, clear and concise messaging with attention to detail, effective at communicating complex ideas to a variety of audiences (i.e., employees, leaders, executives).


  • Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local employment law (US and Canada). Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.


  • Proficiency working with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, and other HR technology tools


  • Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite or related software


Preferred Experience and Qualifications:


  • Prior experience managing and leading teams in dynamic environments


  • HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience


  • SHRM-CP, PHR or similar certification


  • Experience with Workday Applicant Tracking System


  • Experience in the veterinary field, pharmaceuticals, or technical field such as software engineering or data analytics

Pay range (US based applicants): $102,753 - $135,000 (annualized)

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
