Salary Range
: $116100 - $191500 Salary

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At One Call, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $116100 - $191500 Salary

JOB SUMMARY:



Responsible to plan and manage application & database development and client delivery activities for an assigned application portfolio that may include small and simple software applications, moderately complex software applications or components of large and complex software applications.



GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



Drive Transformation: 25%


  • Design and develop software product applications for internal and external use.

  • Perform or delegate product design, bug verification, and beta support which may require research and analysis.

  • Leads development of innovation and strategic direction in application theories/principle concepts for a wide variety of production support issues.

  • Provides direct internal and external customer support for system availability and service delivery.

  • Assists in resolving critical issues and contribute to the development of business unit/area.

  • Identifies and allocates technical resources (e.g., Software Engineers, Service Delivery Analysts) to client projects within Development. Includes a mix of FTEs assigned to the Production/Delivery organization and purchased resources from other lines of business.

  • Maximizes both utilization and profitability of assigned team of resources' billable time.

  • Ensures base applications meet appropriate quality standards.

  • Adheres to the departmental application development and client delivery process standards.

  • Provides input on product direction to product managers.

  • Ensures the proper application of technology as directed by Architecture Board.

Streamline and Maximize: 25%




  • Manage full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation, and auditing.

  • Provides lead representation for the Production Control area containing detailed information for outage situations with internal/external clients. Assesses risk and manages activities affecting the production environment.

  • Oversee the timely processing of production batch jobs running on scheduling systems.

  • Forecasts resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio budget and projected client spend.

  • Coordinates with compliance consultants and product managers to verify applications meet regulatory compliance.

  • Ensures all applications meet appropriate quality standards.

Cultivate Talent: 50%




  • Manage the work efforts and schedule for managers/leads with responsibility for hiring, performance management, appraisals, and pay reviews.

  • Develop, coach, and mentor those you lead to build successful teams that deliver an exceptional customer experience.

  • Perform 1:1 sessions with direct reports at least monthly to discuss department performance, goals, and any other key content specific to the performance of the individual and/or to the success of the business.

  • Ensure leaders are equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing initiatives.

  • Bring fun, a sense of community, and celebrate successes of the team.




EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience other than below.

  • Eight or more years of experience as a software developer/delivery engineer.

  • Seven or more years of experience in a management, supervisory or lead role.

  • Good knowledge of One Call products and services or related domain

  • Skill in project management, organization, communications, analytical and people skills

  • Skill in leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressure.

  • Ability to be comfortable interacting with executive level clients.

  • Ability to analyze client's business needs and determine related information services support.

  • Ability to maintain positive working relationship with client and other teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and problem areas.

  • Ability to delegate projects to qualified subordinates as appropriate.

  • Ability to lead, direct and manage effectively.

  • Ability to operate independently.

  • Ability to exhibit solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
