Job Summary 


This position is responsible for overseeing assigned Corporate Accounts with a focus on the automotive flat rolled product market and responsibilities that include the following activities: identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, enhancing the customer experience,  developing a commercial strategy, overseeing pricing and implementation of pricing as required, maintaining profitability, reviewing inventory, oversee handling of claims, while working collaboratively with local personal/ facilities on the management of the account location(s) in question.  


Job Responsibilities  



  • Proactively identify Flat Rolled Products supply opportunities, develop supply chain efficiencies, create solutions for strategic customers.

  • Contact customers and potential customers to maintain/develop an effective business relationship, target, and strategy.

  • Work with internal and outside entities to assemble supply chain feasibility and associated costs.

  • Assist in the development of pricing and credit policies to maximize return on sales.

  • Establish, implement, and monitor marketing plans and strategies to maintain and increase the center's share in coordination with Sr VP of National Sales and Commercial Directors.

  • Resolving issues independently and collaboratively as required.

  • Assist in the purchase of customer inventory in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet customer requirements, optimizing turnover and return on sales.

  • Regular review of customer inventory levels with materials management and account managers to meet company inventory requirements coupled with meeting customer demand to ensure control goals are met and investments protected.

  • Direct the preparation of sales reports and data to monitor the overall sales effort to ensure achievement of sales objectives; keep the Sr VP of National Sales and Commercial Directors informed of progress, challenges and make recommendations for improving revenue and gross margin and overall customer experience.

  • Will partner with inside/outside sales representatives to assist in day-to-day management of an account.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7+ years progressive automotive industry experience or metal processing experience

  • Working knowledge of flat rolled material processing and manufacturing within stamping operations

  • Familiarity with basic aluminum and carbon flat rolled product characteristics

  • Remote/hybrid position depending on location and proximity to branch locations

  • Position requires 50% domestic travel
