Job Designation

Responsible for providing support functions to shop personnel for the timely processing of orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Remove burrs from machined parts and apply specified finish as required.

  • Prep parts for welding, brazing or subsequent machining operations.

  • Organize shop orders by due date and verify accuracy of orders moving to or from the machine shop including reconciling of shop order log.

  • Provide materials from floor stock to complete orders as required.

  • Perform and document weekly inspections of eyewash/emergency shower stations.

  • Clean and refurbish customer owned equipment returned for service or repair.

  • Sweep, mop, remove trash, return storage bins or perform other tasks as necessary to provide a clean and safe work environment.

  • Any other task assigned by supervisor on a temporary basis.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:


  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on time management.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to inspect work for quality and consistency.

  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and assembly techniques.

  • Basic understanding of pneumatic tools and safe operating procedures.

  • Ability to use basic measuring tools to verify drawing requirements.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively through written, verbal or electronic means.

  • Knowledge of basic Windows OS is required; knowledge of an ERP system is desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to work MON-THU 6AM-4:30PM

  • Must be able to work FRI-SUN when required (overtime hours TBD)

  • Must be able to stand for up to 2.5 hours at a time

  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
