Job Description:

Well-established, real estate company located near the South Bay is looking for a Director of Finance & Accounting. In this hands-on position, the Director of Finance & Accounting will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and finance processes. Those duties include having a hands-on role in the month/quarter/year-end close, tax filing & reporting, financial statement preparation & consolidation, account analysis, property accounting, managing fixed assets, and performing revenue recognition activities. The Director of Finance & Accounting will lead the audits, generate executive cash management reports, manage loan agreements, conduct variance analysis, compile financial reporting packages, establish and analyze corporate budgets, and work closely with executive management on ad hoc reporting. Additional responsibilities for the Director of Finance & Accounting include helping lead IT improvements, investment accounting, as well as regulatory compliance.

• Qualified candidates will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related discipline.


• Must have previous experience as a Controller or Director with a retail real estate corporation.


• Public accounting and CPA license is extremely preferred.


• Yardi is extremely preferred.


• Must have excellent communication and leadership skills.


• Strong background with Excel is also needed.


• $180 - 200k + bonus.
