Kleinfelder is currently looking add a GIS / Data Analyst. This position will specialize in delivering comprehensive geospatial (GIS) and technology consulting services across various disciplines and industries. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our team, working alongside dedicated Data Analysts and Application Development experts. Together, we’ll provide advanced, data-driven GIS and technology solutions that are crucial in supporting informed decision-making for our diverse clientele.

The GIS / Data Analyst is expected to apply their technical knowledge of GIS solutions to multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. This position will work with project stakeholders and senior technical personnel to execute and deliver GIS-related project requirements; compose various static and dynamic cartographic outputs; create, edit, analyze, and manage project data; and support project delivery efforts.

Ideal candidates would have experience supporting environmental assessment and remediation efforts; natural resource planning; small- and large-scale data development initiatives; field tool development and data management; high-quality cartographic (static and interactive map) production; and deliverable support services.

Responsibilities
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

•Maintain an appropriate knowledge of geospatial/cartographic principles, practices, and experience executing GIS assignments.
•Prepare GIS deliverable products to support internal and external clients.
•Demonstrate knowledge in principles of geography/cartography, including coordinate systems and projections, visual hierarchy, geo-processing tools, georeferencing, raster datasets, and symbology.
•Have experience in geospatial analysis, data management, and data conversion using ESRI's ArcGIS Pro software.
•Evaluate data from various sources to ensure quality and accurate representation.
•Manage data in a concise manner with an awareness of nomenclature, folder structure, and data schemas.
•Detail-oriented mind frame with the ability to identify data or map quality issues.
•Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor.

Academic and Experience Expectations:

•Academic - Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Data or Computer Science, Environmental Science, a related field including courses in GIS or equivalent professional experience.

•Experience - 2-5 years of experience fulfilling the job expectations outlined above, in a business environment; internships will not be considered as experience. Preference given to candidates with previous consulting experience.
