The Senior Estimator leads estimating for wastewater and mechanical construction projects, managing the preparation of bids and proposals with a team of estimators. The role involves handling 25-50 bids per year, ranging from $5M to $100M, and includes value engineering, scheduling, presentations, and final negotiations with clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee bid preparation, pricing, scheduling, and data entry.
Analyze historical data and coordinate material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
Lead scope meetings, value engineering discussions, and negotiations.
Maintain bid documents, track awarded contracts, and handle change orders.
Mentor Junior Estimators and provide technical support on bids.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of experience in estimating or engineering, with a focus on wastewater and mechanical construction.
Ability to manage bids across various project types and supervise estimating teams.
Proficiency in software tools like HCSS, Primavera, Viewpoint, and Microsoft Office.
