Position may be located in Columbus, Athens, Dayton/Cincinnati, or Cleveland depending upon the applicant selected. The APEX Procurement Consultant will deliver quality, cost- effective and expeditious counseling to OU APEX clients related to obtaining government contracts in specified counties in each service area. Qualified applicants must demonstrate the ability to provide general counseling on business development; ability to create professional relationships with government program managers, contracting officers and prime contractors; working knowledge of best business practices on performing government contracts; and pragmatic knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations as well as State of Ohio and local procurement regulations and practices; and must have in-depth knowledge of the federal government manufacturing requirements.
