Description: BRAETR FP is seeking a logistics support specialist for our military client at Naval Weapons Station Charleston working within the Command Consumable program. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior customer service, communication, and organizational skills. This position also requires the ability to work under limited supervision while fulfilling a variety of administrative duties accurately and efficiently, an appreciation for policies and procedures, and attentiveness to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with procurement and requisitioning of Command Consumable goods.
Maintain supply inventory, verify inventory levels by checking shelves, and notify supervisor as to replacement needs.
Receive and store supplies in warehouse and stockrooms.
Review incoming order forms for accuracy, quantities requested, and authorized approvals.
Inspect and verify supplies received against invoice and packing slip to verify correctness, checking for damaged goods and initiating requests for vendor corrections.
Track receipts of incoming and outgoing supplies.
Locate stock and deliver requested items to authorized departments via company vehicle.
Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Perform day-to-day clerical duties related to maintaining stock inventories and stockroom.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Favorable Department of Defense Background Investigation Required
Strong customer service skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Valid SC Driver's License
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Four (4) years of general experience in the clerical or administrative area. Experience with Microsoft Office Tools.
OR
Two (2) years of specialized government or military experience in clerical or administrative functions. Experience with Microsoft Office Tools.
