Chapman Consulting, Inc. (CCI) is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Drafting & Design Manager. The position is on-site in Lafayette, Louisiana. We are seeking a candidate who has experience in 3D design of oil and gas facilities (especially experience with midstream pipeline and facilities. This position involves managing the day-to-day taskings of our design & drafting team including resourcing, training & mentorship, checking drawings, ensuring deadlines are met, and working with our engineering and project management teams to generate complex 3D models and drawing packages. Experience in piping system design as well as structural design are crucial. Experience with 3D scanning and experience with electrical drawings are major pluses.

Qualifications
Mastery in AutoCAD Plant 3D and Hexagon CADWorx
Candidate should have proficiency with mechanical and process design
Candidate should be able to recognize obvious errors in field drawings upon receipt
3D design experience with midstream facilities, pipelines, and pipeline modifications is preferred, but design experience with other industrial piping systems (plants, refineries, terminals/tank farms, power plants, offshore production, etc.) is also looked for
experience with electrical drawings is considered a major plus
Good attitude, being a team player, and willingness to learn new things is a must
Ability to work in the field for short periods of time such as site visits and scoping trips
Ability to lead a team with an emphasis on mentorship and developing junior employees.
