Our award-winning client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team.The Project Engineer - Quality is responsible for driving quality improvements across the Union City Plant. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to execute strategic and short-term projects, enhancing product quality, reducing costs, and boosting customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a proven track record in quality engineering and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
Spearhead quality improvement projects to enhance Unit Failure Rate, Warranty Costs, Yield, and Customer Satisfaction metrics.
Serve as the primary Quality representative for New Product Development, ensuring product quality and manufacturability.
Conduct root cause analysis for field issues, implement corrective actions, and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives, tracking and reporting project outcomes.
Employ problem-solving methodologies to drive process improvements and optimize operations.
Lead the transition to paperless inspection reporting.
Generate data-driven reports and recommendations for process and product enhancement.
Support the implementation and maintenance of the client Quality Management System.
Contribute to the plant's ISO certification through internal auditing.
Undertake other quality-related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of four years of experience in quality engineering.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong MS Office Suite skills.
Six Sigma and continuous improvement certifications preferred.
