The department of Respiratory Care on the Portland-Metro campus of Oregon Tech, located in Wilsonville, OR, is seeking a full time (1.0 FTE), tenure-track faculty position.

This tenure-track faculty position at the Portland campus within the Respiratory Care Program holds two major roles. This position will serve as the developer and coordinator for a satellite program currently being developed for the Portland Metro campus. The satellite program is a joint program with Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).
Example responsibilities include assisting with the accreditation process and maintenance of, preparation of learning environment, cultivating partnerships, recruitment, instruction, and advising. This individual would work collaboratively with the Respiratory Care Program Director, based in Klamath Falls, OR, who serves as administrator for all modalities of the Program and OHSU personnel.
This position will also serve as the Director of the online degree completion program in Respiratory Care. As the Director, this individual will work collaboratively with the Respiratory Care Program Director and Online Education Office to ensure high quality (per NBRC/AARC guidelines) courses corresponding to the in-person curriculum offered at the Klamath Falls campus. Example responsibilities include ensuring consistency in curriculum, assisting with accreditation, student recruitment, instruction of courses, and advising students.
Additional responsibilities include service to the program, the University and/or profession, scholarly activities and other duties as assigned.
Departmental Information:
The Respiratory Care program within the College of Health, Arts & Sciences at Oregon Tech offers a Bachelor of Science degree which integrates therapeutic and diagnostic procedures and a general education core with course work in scientific and leadership principles. The Respiratory Care program enables future registered respiratory therapists as physician extenders who, under medical direction, administer cardiopulmonary care, evaluate and assess pulmonary patients, and administer medications and diagnostic tests when appropriate. Their duties involve the use of many of the latest advances in medical arts, sciences and technology.

Job Requirements
Qualification Requirements:
Masters Degree
A valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license; Respiratory Care Licensure by the State of Oregon
A minimum of four (4) years experience as an RRT with at least two (2) years experience in clinical respiratory care
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate or other terminal degree
Prior experience as an academic faculty member or clinical educator for a CoARC accredited program
Experience in online instruction and/or degree completion programs
