<p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">The Field Functionality Technician serves as the level 3 functionality expert responsible for all electronic demonstration displays in Best Buy retail stores within their assigned area. They handle escalations of store display and IT infrastructure issues. This role performs complex, highly advanced repairs that require significant experience, training, tools, and knowledge. They adhere to Best Buy Technology Group (BBTG) cabling and device standards, project reporting deliverables, project turnover, and subsequent follow-up to completion. The Field Functionality Technician is also responsible for the support of Premium Audio & Magnolia Design Center functionality. They install advanced audio/video systems & distribution racks and perform monthly changes to advanced experiential displays requiring Savant programming knowledge. Every team member should feel empowered to deliver a world-class and unique experience based on what each customer needs.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Drives a positive customer experience by building relationships and providing solutions to their needs.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Provides next business day response to escalations.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Sends detailed troubleshooting info via email when issues are escalated by retail.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Ensures retail partners are following standard operating procedures and working with market partners.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains low voltage displays, associated systems, and new and existing company electronic systems.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Provides regular system checks including local off-air signal and physical inventory port functionality</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Handles complex technology scope including installation of horizontal and backbone cabling.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Builds crucial retail relationships with store, district, and market teams.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Provide mentorship to project teams by modeling and coaching functionality standard operating procedures.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Provides detailed updates to partners and provides quality feedback to improve existing processes.</span></span></p></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic displays and other technical components</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Able to safely use small hand tools, light duty power tools, and other in-house equipment</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Strong written and verbal communication skills</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Current, valid driver's license</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards (e.g. minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Must live within the defined geographical location for team</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Must be eligible to qualify for a Best Buy corporate credit card and maintain it in good standing</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Able to work dayside, overnight, and weekend shifts when required</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Travel is required;
