Our client, an education facility South of Boston is looking for an experienced accountant to join their team. This person will play a critical role in supporting the director of finance and the overall accounting function.

The Role:

• Record entries and maintain integrity of general ledger system


• Post transactions to the GL including deposits and expenses


• Work directly with director of finance for budget preparation


• Prepare budget vs actual reports & budget analysis


• Support the AP & AR function by auditing invoice information posted to the main ledger


• Act as back up to various functions such as AP, AR & payroll as needed

Qualifications:

• Multiple years of experience in a true accounting function


• In-depth knowledge of accounting software


• Highly proficient using MS Office, Excel


• Ability to handle complex accounting & mathematical items on the fly


• Communication skills to interact with different functions within the organization
