We are searching for Electrician Technicians who can take us to the next level. SUMMARY
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.
Requirements
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson three times will not be considered.
• Must have at least 1 year electrical experience in an industrial environment.
• You must have 6 months of work history with one employer within the past 12 months.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have good oral communication skills to discuss issues with the Power Systems Manager.
• Must be able to understand information contained in Electrical manuals and blue prints.
• Completion of electrician apprenticeship is a plus.
You will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems. To perform this role, you must have an electricians degree from a technical college and at least 1 year experience in an industrial environment working on simple and complex electrical systems.
Responsibilities
• Install maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code, state and local building regulations.
• Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
• Good knowledge of various test equipment.
• Have worked with 480 volts and 3 phase motors.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Tech Degree (Electrical) from a Tech College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the industrial environment.
Able to trouble shoot and repair all process and supportive equipment, building and grounds equipment.
Must know Lockout/Tag out and Confined Space Entry.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid state driver's license, or the ability to obtain one. Maintain an updated forklift drivers license (renewable every two years).

The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

SHIFT SCHEDULE
2nd Shift Sunday to Wednesday 8:00 pm to 8:00 am
2nd Shift Thursday to Sunday 8:00 pm to 8:00 am
Shifts are subject to periodic rotation EVERY 8 WEEKS
The rehire waiting period is 90 days.
Rehire rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods
