About this opportunity
This position uses machines to trim the edges off the rolls of film to produce packaging material according to product specifications.
What you will do
- Loads and unloads rolls from the machine
- Set-up machine to specifications outlined in work order
- Checks for product quality and flags any of poor-quality film
- Runs slitter machine and watch for problems
- Loads finished rolls of film onto pallet
- Completes required documentation
- Keeps machine and operation area clean
- Ensures materials are available for next order and next shift
- Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
- Ability to frequently stand and walk during working hours
- Ability to frequently sit, bend, stoop, and twist
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Requirements- High school diploma or GED
- Strong work history of at least 5 years in any field or industry
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
- Strong understanding of common mathematical concepts
- Ability to comprehend and apply metric and standard units of measurement
- Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner at all times
- Ability to recognize and match colors
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to manage various tasks and priorities in a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment and meet deadlines
- Prolonged periods standing, crouching, bending, climbing, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling in order to perform job
The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
The hourly pay for this position is $17.00/hour.
