Hillcrest Youth Services is currently seeking a full-time Dietary & Nutrition Coordinator to add to our team of professionals. This position will prepare and serve meals to Hillcrest residents and staff according to menu; monitor methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning.
The pay for this position is $19/hour.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Coordinate food preparation and meals.
Plan and initiate cooking schedule for food preparation to meet meal schedule.
Prepare, season, cook and serve for assigned meal; ensure appropriate portioned servings according to portion control standards.
Check and inspect food products and supplies as delivered.
Responsible for pick up and storage of supplies and food products.
Determine and order amount and type of food and supplies as required for daily menus.
Perform routine cleaning of kitchen, kitchen equipment and dining areas. Report any equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions.
Be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and facility's rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Follow defined Safety codes.
Completes annual education and training requirements, including Safe Serve course and twenty hours required training.
Other duties as assigned by Chief Executive Officer.
WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Must complete and obtain Safe Serve Certification within 90 days of start date.
Work schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Occasional work may need to be performed outside these hours.
Minimum one (1) year food service experience in a health care dietary setting is desired.
Have general knowledge of quantity food preparation and portioned serving.
Numerical ability necessary to make various computations in keeping work records and in recipe preparation.
Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, and work assignments.
Must be patient and tolerant toward residents, staff and other visitors
Ability to read and understand equipment operation manuals.
Must have valid driver's license and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
Must meet requirements as identified by State Licensing regulations.
Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.
