It's an exciting time to join our Walmart journey. We are seeking a Software Engineer - III (DevOps) for a key position in Walmart's ecommerce platform initiatives. This is the Platform Team that provides platform for the Walmart ecommerce and other Walmart pillars. We are on the cutting edge of technology and the teams continues to push the technology boundaries to grow.
What you'll do:
Requires knowledge of: Different operating systems; Software maintenance tools and techniques; Application monitoring tools and techniques; Debugging tools; Mock screen; Pseudocodes; Reverse Engineering; Traceability matrix; System performance, security, integration; Data migration and accessibility; Design Methodologies. To conduct complex maintenance procedures for applications independently. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics; Perform maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities. Analyze application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provide analysis; Evaluate change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.
What you'll bring:
- Skills that you would need to join the team:
- Experience supporting large scale, highly available, production environment applications.
- Solid understanding of Cloud and operations concepts. Ability to understand customer issues and resolve them. Azure Cloud experience is a plus.
- Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise systems and applications.
- Experience in supporting eComm applications is a huge plus.
- Cognizant of tools for CI/CD, observability, service mesh, and transparent integration with existing services such as GSLB.
- Knowledge on dashboarding, monitoring, alerting and automation of alert resolution.
- Possess practical Linux systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, decision-making, communication and interpersonal skills, and should be a team player.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
