What we do:

The Data Analytics Specialist designs, develops and implements business-driven analytical products such as models, reports, workflows and dashboards. This role also empowers customers to produce data products in accordance with best practices and governance standards. Employees in this role are expected to work closely with business stakeholders and also build strong partnerships with the Bank's technology providers with an eye toward integrating products with the Bank-wide analytics architecture.

Your Role as a Data Analytics Specialist:

Support economists and staff in their Bank policy and research work. You will: use statistical, database, and other software packages to manage data; and maintain the integrity of the programs used to enable the creation of research products; support the ingestion, storage, documentation, and output of Research databases and repositories.

Scope and problem-solve with information services staff on research data requirements for economists; clarify request objectives and determine the most appropriate, cost-effective, and timely approach; provide support for the process of investigating, acquiring, and managing information -- created, collected, acquired -- for Research; support data management policies for Research's assets and related processes.

What we are looking for:


  • Training and experience in Data and Information Management and interest in Economics with a focus on data.


  • Generally, 3-5 years of relevant work experience preferred.


  • Database management experience (strong SQL experience).


  • Python (Panda and Numpy experience preferred).


  • Unix (especially bash scripting).


  • SAS experience preferred.


  • Experience and understanding of data and its use in economic research.


  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team-based environment and independently, as required.


  • Initiative and good project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities, often under strict deadlines.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly an ability to interact with and apply tact and diplomacy with all levels of staff on a range of issues.


  • Flexibility in developing alternative solutions in complex and rapidly changing situations.


  • High attention to detail as well as highly developed organizational skills.


Salary Range: $116500-158500 / year
