Position Title:

Senior Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk


Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Teya Accounting Team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial data. You will be responsible for computing, classifying, and recording numerical information to maintain complete and accurate financial records. If you are a skilled multitasker with a passion for accounting and a deep knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes, this is an excellent opportunity for you.


Key Responsibilities:

- Reconcile vendor invoices, monthly credit card accounts, and bank statements.

- Review timecards and other documentation for accuracy and generate client reports.

- Create and schedule invoices for payment to vendors, credit cards, and bank accounts.

- Verify the accuracy of financial entries, documents, and codes.

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies and regulations.

- Classify, record, and summarize numerical data to maintain financial records.

- Post customer payments and verify revenue transactions in Costpoint.

- Maintain up-to-date accounts by recording unpaid invoices and managing receivables.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts, coordinating with project managers and customers.

- Perform general administrative duties and provide departmental support as needed.


Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable experience.

- Expertise in Costpoint or similar accounting software.

- Proficient in MS Office and data entry.

- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

- High attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy.

- Experience in government contracting and/or ANC accounting preferred.

- High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The work environment is primarily office-based, with regular use of office equipment. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds) and some mobility required for tasks such as climbing stairs or moving objects.
