Purpose Statement

The primary role of this position is to manage all daily requests for conference rooms and specific Innovation areas, as well as the internal catering and meeting needs during standard business hours


Key Accountabilities and Outcomes


  • Primary contact for managing (via Outlook)the use of 80+ conference rooms, the Innovation Center, Customer Solution Studio and training rooms, and the Innovation kitchen as a resource when needed; Walk conference rooms daily

  • Manage all daytime catering requests for Rich's associates and visiting external vendors:

    • create banquet event orders (BEO) in Catermate reflecting the correct menu and accurate pricing and cost center codes;

    • distribute BEOs to kitchen and Meeting Services (MS) staff;

    • follow through to ensure accuracy, quality and food safety of the order, delivery and clearing efficiency, while at the same time provide exceptional customer service



  • Prioritizing ESLT, V.I.P. and Rich's customer visit meetings to ensure exemplary service by proactively communicating and follow up with key meeting organizer(s) and producer(s); acting as "the face of Meeting Services" to rely on for exceptional execution; lend support where needed

  • Manage Meeting Services staff including overseeing performance plans, controlling labor costs, execution of set up, delivery and clearing, safety procedures, as well as ensuring the staff's commitment to providing exceptional customer service

  • Offer creative and innovative menu solutions that have proven successful for other customers e.g., themed menu

  • Inform Sodexo of any necessary maintenance needed in a meeting room(s), including climate control and cleaning


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred with 5+ years experience with organization, planning and execution of events in hospitality industry

  • Solid knowledge of meeting room layouts including capacity and set up options

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time management skills in executing daily agenda, including coordination of setup times, delivery, clean up, as well as staff supervision; strong multitasking and prioritizing skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure; handle issues and complaints tactfully and efficiently

  • Self-motivated, ability to interact in a team environment

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel; Catermate software experience helpful

  • ServSafe certified

COMPENSATION


In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.
