Business Analyst - Billing at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Location: On site 3 days/ week in Philadelphia


We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our billing team. This role will be instrumental in documenting and curating changes to ensure smooth operations and efficient communication between the billing support team and development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance claims and billing processes, and will actively engage with operations and sales teams to address business needs and market challenges.



Key Responsibilities:

1. 
   Support the Billing Team: Act as a key resource for the billing team, providing insights and documentation to help identify and resolve issues efficiently.


2. 
   Documentation and Curation: Document changes in processes and systems, ensuring the support team has the necessary information to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.


3. 
   Technical Guidance for Development: Create comprehensive documentation for development teams, enabling them to quickly access information needed to implement solutions.


4. 
   Claims and Rate Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of insurance claims processes, including how rates are calculated, and alert the development team to any necessary changes or updates.


5. 
   Collaboration with Operations and Sales: Drive discussions with operations and sales teams to identify capabilities required to meet challenges in new markets and accounts.


6. 
   Requirements Gathering: Interact with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translating these needs into clear and actionable documentation for the development team.

Requirements:

1. 
   Experience: 2+ years as a Business Analyst, preferably in billing or insurance-related roles.


2. 
   Understanding of Billing Processes: Familiarity with billing systems and insurance claims, with an emphasis on rate calculations.


3. 
   Documentation Skills: Proven ability to create clear and effective documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.


4. 
   Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.


5. 
   Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and propose actionable solutions.
