Overview

IDG is currently seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join the company’s Strategic Finance team.

As the Finance Analyst within the Strategic Finance team, the Financial Analyst will help scale IDG’s financial analytical capabilities and advise on the company’s overall strategy. You will perform data-driven analyses that drive operational and commercial uplift supporting our IDG organization.

You will have the opportunity to lead initiatives independently: making decisions, collaborating closely with the IDG executive leadership team, and presenting strategic insights to management.

This position is based in Needham, MA with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly financial planning and analysis cycle including forecast updates for revenue, COGS, OPEX and adjusted EBITDA, forecast vs. actual analysis, management reporting ,etc.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and other finance teams to establish the budget for next year
  • Provide analysis of financial results and trends to help businesses grow
  • Develop financial models to support business valuation
  • Aid in capital budgeting and expenditure planning process
  • Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions and trends



Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics required
  • 3+ years of previous experience in business finance or other relevant experience

  • Strong analytical, data gathering and reconciliation skills

  • High proficiency in financial forecast, variance analysis, cost analysis, resource planning and analysis

  • Strong fluency with excel formulas and functions, proficiency with BI and EPM tools a plus

  • Good business acumen and excellent communication skills required

  • Experience with financial forecasting, financial models, variance analysis, cost analysis, excel dashboards, data mining, business intelligence

  • Ability to drive process improvements.

At IDG, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. We pay our employees equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $88,000 and $95,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable). Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner.
