To support that mission, we're hiring an experience Equipment Maintenance Technician at our Portland location.

As the Equipment Maintenance Technician III, you will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of equipment used to produce our scientific glassware.

What you'll do at Tosoh Quartz.

• Perform required maintenance on equipment, as detailed on work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair all manufacturing equipment including annealing ovens.
• Determine tools and materials needed to perform tasks and requisition parts and supplies.
• Observe and read instruments, gauges, dials, etc., to determine operating conditions.
• Read and interpret detailed prints, sketches, layouts, specifications, etc.
• Identify and list production data such as quantities, pressures, alloys, and operating conditions.
• Read and understand equipment maintenance and service manuals.
• Use the appropriate PPE and follow procedures in the handling of chemicals such as acids, caustics and other substances.
• Follow up on completed work orders to ensure satisfaction of projects.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 8+ years of experience in maintenance with at least 4 years as a senior maintenance technician.
• Extensive experience troubleshooting issues with or without a manual.
• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions from maintenance and service manuals.
• Ability to use and understand maintenance test and measurement equipment.
• Ability to use mechanical and machine tools and general machining and metal shop equipment.
• Ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed and involved written or verbal instructions.
• Experience using measuring devices such as micrometers, calibrated steel tapes, calipers, etc.
