Ultimate Staffing is looking for an experienced Payroll and Benefits Manager to join a dynamic Human Resources team in the St. Louis area. Payroll and Benefits Manager




Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States (Hybrid)



Job Type: Full-Time



Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 (DOE- may be negotiable)



Position Summary:



As the Payroll and Benefits Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth payroll operations and benefits administration. You'll work closely with business leaders and the HR department to manage payroll processes, maintain HR policies, administer benefit programs, and act as the HRIS administrator. This hybrid role allows you to work from home on Fridays!



Key Responsibilities:




Payroll Administration:



  • Manage and process semi-monthly payroll through HRIS systems.

  • Enter bonuses, commissions, salary changes, and vacation/personal time reporting.

  • Oversee the 401(k) semi-monthly uploads.

  • Generate compliance and ad-hoc reports.




Benefits Administration:



  • Administer benefits plans: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, FSA, and COBRA.

  • Handle new benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.

  • Lead the open enrollment process and collaborate with the benefits broker.

  • Manage FMLA, LOA, and Workers' Compensation claims.

  • Conduct new hire orientations and manage employee onboarding.

  • Oversee employee file management and compliance audits.




HRIS Administration (UKG Platform):



  • Serve as the HRIS system lead, managing permissions, access, and user settings.

  • Provide technical support and maintain data integrity.

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and external vendors to optimize HRIS functionality.




Requirements:



  • 4+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with the UKG Ready HRIS platform (preferred). Experience with UKG and ADP is a plus!

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential information.

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office Suite applications.




Education:



  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
