Job Description:

Our client an industrial company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to manage, maintain, and organize various types of inventory, ensuring that shipments arrive at their destinations on time and within budget. The role involves coordinating incoming shipments, overseeing outgoing deliveries, and negotiating transportation costs with carriers.



Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Shipping Preparation & Packaging: Complete end-to-end preparation and packaging of outgoing materials and products.


• 
  Order Accuracy: Perform checks on picked orders to ensure proper labeling, barcodes, and batch numbers are in place.


• 
  Employee Collaboration: Review procedures with team members and establish corrective action plans as necessary.


• 
  Safety Practices: Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to and maintain an inclusive workplace environment.


• 
  Productivity & Efficiency: Enhance productivity, speed, and accuracy in all operations.


• 
  Paperwork: Complete and manage all required paperwork related to shipping and inventory.


• 
  Cross-Department Collaboration:
  
  
  
  • Work with customer service and other departments to resolve complaints.
  
  
  • Collaborate with purchasing to maintain healthy inventory levels.
  
  
  • Work with accounting to address discrepancies.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Problem Solving: Resolve any shipping-related issues that may arise.

  Logistics Management: Coordinate the movement of packages from preparation to delivery.


• 
  Shipping Documentation: Manage all shipping-related documents, including pick-up slips and other delivery documentation.

  • Verify incoming merchandise and ensure proper storage.

  Organization: Organize shipping materials and supplies for efficient operations.

  Returns Processing: Handle product returns in collaboration with Sales and Accounting.

  Quality Control: Inspect all incoming and outgoing packages for accuracy and potential damage.
