SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing project support to Raw Poultry Production Planning Team Members. Project work will focus primarily on supply chain management such as production scheduling, inventory management of raw material and finished goods and transportation and logistics work. Position may include involvement with the following: Pricing, Project Development Management; inventory analysis; learning and managing data systems and reports as assigned by the supervisor; acting daily as a contributing member to the assigned Raw Poultry team, to the division, and to Tyson Foods, Inc. Based on initiative, this position offers the potential for exposure to supply chain management systems, sales analysis and a financial perspective, networking with marketing teams, sales, production, customer service, large corporate environment, enhancement of computer skills and promotional agency.



REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Candidates are required to be actively enrolled in school with at least one year of school remaining. Incoming college Junior, Senior, or MBA students preferred. Supply Chain, Transportation, Poultry Science, Ops management, and other related majors preferred.


• Experience: Previous work or volunteer experience. - Highly Preferred.


• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills.


• Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


• Special Skills: Previous work or volunteer experience; strong mathematical skills, ability to multi-task and detail oriented; desire to learn; be able to work up to 20 - 25 hours per week; self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams; Internship extended each semester pending on-going performance.


• Supervisory: None


• Travel: None


• Position Specific Requirements: This role is a year-round opportunity that requires the selected candidate to work 20 hours per week during the school year, and as many as 40 hours per week during the summer. This role also requires the selected candidate to work in person at Tyson Foods' Springdale, AR World Headquarters.
