POSITION SUMMARY: Ensure the reliable and efficient delivery of all products scheduled for distribution, manage drivers, and handle customer delivery issues.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.
Make sure all DVIR's from previous day are turned in and properly filled out
Collect and document bulk and conventional mileage
Monitor, collect and document conventional HOS
Respond to and resolve any customer complaints or issues.
Conduct route rides
Conduct truck cab and safety checks
Assist with monthly safety/training meetings
Discipline and document drivers compliance with CBA when appropriate
Respond to and resolve any driver issues
Ensure customer orders are delivered on a daily basis
Maintain and document Daily Return Report
Call and set up dock times for all MD/VA Club stores
Maintain Weekly over/shortage sheet in accordance with the CBA
Maintain truck tonnage levels in accordance with the CBA
Cover any Bulk or Transportation issues during vacation and off hours
Provide directions and maps for drivers when needed
Conduct store checks
Remain on call for any delivery issue
Must have the ability to access all Government accounts
Will need to be able to perform routes on government facilities that will require special clearance
Investigate Auto Liability, Property Damage and Workers Comp claims. Ensure all regulations and policies are followed throughout the process.
Preferred:
Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and four years successful delivery/sales and/or sales management experience. Experience developing comprehensive strategies, business and sales plans, and schedules.
CDL/ DOT card.
