Location: West Islip, NY
Salary: $20.00 USD Hourly - $22.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team!
Scope of Role:
Location: West Islip, NY
Hours: Monday & Tuesday 8:30am - 8pm, Wednesday 8:30am - 5pm, Thursday 8:30am - 6pm, Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 9am-2pm.
Job Engagement: Contract
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Measures, collects, and records patient vital signs.
- Performs basic lab testing and other approved tests.
- Performs routine phlebotomy procedures.
- Verify patient demographics accurately with two patient identifiers.
- Assists in examination and treatment of patients under clinician direction.
- Function as an effective team member and work cooperatively alongside physicians, nurses and other ancillary staff
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with vital signs and basic lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, etc.).
- Perform routine phlebotomy procedures.
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
