Job Summary

The SAP Functional Business Analyst I plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing the SAP system to meet the business needs of our organization. The SAP Functional Business Analyst I must collaborate with various departments to understand business processes, gather requirements, and configure SAP modules, including but not limited to SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), MM (Materials Management), FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling), and PP (Production Planning). This foundational position is ideal for individuals who are eager to grow their expertise in SAP and make meaningful contributions to the organization's success by driving efficiency and innovation.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering:


  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to thoroughly understand and document their requirements.
  • Assist in translating business needs into functional specifications for SAP solutions.

System Configuration:

  • Support the configuration of SAP modules (FICO, MM, SD, PP) to ensure alignment with business processes.
  • Support testing and validation of configured solutions to ensure they meet the business requirements.

Business Process Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement or automation using SAP.
  • Provide recommendations for optimizing SAP processes to enhance efficiency.

Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Deliver first-level support to end-users, efficiently resolving issues related to SAP functionality.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to troubleshoot and resolve more complex issues.

Documentation and Training:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and system changes.
  • Assist in developing training materials and conducting user training.

Project Participation:

  • Engage in SAP implementation and upgrade projects, offering functional expertise.
  • Assist in testing, go-live activities, and post-implementation support.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously stay updated on the latest SAP developments and best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP landscape.

Qualifications

Educational and Experience Requirements


  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with hands on experience gathering requirements, process improvement, and optimizing functionality within SAP environments.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules and business processes.
  • Proven track record in configuring and customizing SAP modules to meet business requirements.
  • SAP S/4 HANA experience is preferred.
  • SAP Certification in relevant modules (FICO, SD, MM, PP) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities are crucial for efficiently identifying and resolving SAP-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization..
