We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Studio Associate to help keep our studio safe, organized, and engaging for the children we serve.
Job Description: The Studio Associate plays a key role in maintaining a positive, safe, and organized environment for both staff and students at Drumming Diva Studios, Inc. You will be responsible for interacting with children, helping them with homework, and assisting with day-to-day operations in the studio. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine love for working with kids.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure the studio space is clean, safe, and well-organized for all activities. Assist children with their homework, providing guidance and support as needed. Supervise children during studio activities, ensuring they are engaged and following safety guidelines. Help prepare and organize materials for music lessons and activities. Provide general support to instructors and staff during studio sessions. Assist with student check-in, parent communication, and maintaining attendance records. Manage and resolve minor behavioral issues with students, fostering a positive and respectful environment. Clean and sanitize equipment and workspaces regularly to ensure safety standards are met.
Qualifications: Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills and a patient, positive attitude. Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle minor conflicts among children. Basic knowledge of music or a passion for the arts is a plus, but not required. High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or child development is a plus. Ability to pass a background check.
Schedule: Part-time, weekdays Monday-Friday 1:45 PM - 6:15 PM. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for special events.
