The base salary range for this position is $107,254 to $139,431and is dependent upon experience
Responsibilities
Work within the ECC Process and Performance team to provide cross-Op-Co support to the Avangrid Networks Energy Control Centers.
Developing overall electric ECC training strategy, including both transmission and distribution training:
Ensure all ECC training compliance requirements are met per regulatory requirements.
Oversight of all Initial Operator Training Programs for new hire Qualification
Oversight of Continuing Education Programs for ongoing professional development of Qualified personnel
Support Centralized Operations project - specifically training of new Distribution Operators.
Planning and execution of all ECC training activities.
Line management responsibility for ECC technical trainers.
Management of ECC training contractors.
Support local ECC teams on technical/compliance-related issues - provide technical guidance and expertise to employees engaged in the operation of the electric system
Provide direction and assistance to operations staff during electric system emergencies.
Coordinate with operations management to Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational processes and procedures.
Represent the company on interdepartmental/regulatory committees and perform other duties as required.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferred Associate degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience or High School Diploma with 15 years directly related experience in the utility industry required
Proficient with evidence-based adult learning and technical training principles and methodologies
Basic Knowledge of the characteristics and operation of electric systems Basic Knowledge of control systems
NERC Certification is preferred

This position will be ideally located in the NY ECC in Binghamton, NY. Some travel will be required to support ECCs in Augusta, ME, and Orange, CT.
