Job Description:

Job Overview:

Responsible for general maintenance and repairs of the building and grounds. Ensures that the facility is maintained at a high level, snow removal is performed in a timely manner when needed, and cleanliness and safety standards are upheld. The position may also do light cleaning as requested by management.

Schedule: There are two openings currently. Mon-Fri 5am to 1:30pm and Sun-Thurs 1pm to 9:30pm

Essential Functions:

• Repair building equipment to include plumbing, structures, carpentry, dry and wet fire systems, etc.

• Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment to include inspection, cleaning, lubrications, adjustments, and repairs, etc.

• Perform building modifications to include plumbing, welding, electrical, carpentry, etc.

• Keep accurate records of preventative maintenance and all other work performed

• Perform other tasks as directed by Supervisor

• Communicate with Supervisor daily on changes and problems with building equipment

• Clean work area/warehouse and equipment

Job Requirements:

Experience:

• Two (2) years general warehouse maintenance experience; preferred

• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical trades, and/or related to building maintenance; preferred

Physical Environment:

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently

• Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation

• Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures

• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment

• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
