Job Description:

The Program Manager (Automotive) will guide projects through the production process from the initial point of award through PPAP completion. This individual acts as the primary point of contact between Tempel and the customer and provides regular feedback and status updates to both internal departments and the customer. The Program Manager will oversee and coordinate multiple projects within the Automotive and Motors divisions.

Essential Functions:


  • Responsible for the strategic planning and management of new incoming projects from point of award through production approval

    utilizing Tempel developed Stage Gates


  • Manages internal documents and seeks buyoff/signoff of project milestones
  • Reviews customer prints and specifications for accuracy
  • Reviews / manages customer documents when applicable.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact between Tempel and the customer

    alongside the Sales Account Manager


  • Leads a cross-functional team comprised of representatives from core departments within Tempel throughout the duration of the project
  • Organizes and leads regular project updates and conference calls (Teams meetings)
  • Provides internal departments with status summary reports and regular feedback to the customer
  • Creates and pursues continuous achievement of personal development plan goals
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred)
  • 3-5 years in a project management role
  • Project Management Professional certification is a plus
  • Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams
  • High competency in Microsoft Excel
